About our Store
Lincbook.com was established in 1931 in Providence, R.I. as Lincoln Book Shoppe. It was founded by Samuel Lincoln Ephraim (1903-1968), who amassed over 200,000 out-of-print and rare books, pamphlets and ephemera. It has been carried on by his son, Harold Ephraim. The firm was moved from Providence to Foster, Rhode Island, a rural community near the Connecticut border, in 1980. Over 15,000 items are presently on line, with new items added weekly.
We offer accurate descriptions in our listings, and package all items with care. Although we no longer have an open shop, please enjoy browsing our inventory on line. We never list books we do not have in stock. Scans upon request.
Our specialties include Education, Psychology, History, Political Science, Business, Economics, Literary Criticism, Science, Asian Studies, and other scholarly subjects, Children's Books, and antiquarian books on Exploration and Travel. We also have extensive holdings in Historical Memorabilia and Ephemera. We conduct a free search service for locating elusive out-of-print books. Please email or mail us your desiderata.
